Holistic Roots
Mentoring Program
Holistic Roots is an innovative mentoring program for graduates of our Holistic Me program now in middle and high school. It provides a seamless "continuum of care" to support students from elementary through high school and beyond. Designed to bridge the gap between our elementary and high school mindfulness programs, Holistic Roots offers a supportive network, especially for those who've experienced trauma, helping them thrive in middle school and transition smoothly to high school.
Holistic Roots aims to nurture, inspire, and motivate mentees to successfully navigate middle school while broadening their vision for the future. With guidance from integrative experts and proven HLF practices, the program empowers students to achieve their goals and envision a bright future. From the Holistic Life Foundation’s 20 original students, 18 of them graduated from high school on-time, early, or received their GED.
18 of that 20 enrolled in college or working full-time, with students attending Emory University, The Maryland Institute College of Art, Limestone College, Frostburg State University, Baltimore City Community College, and others.
3 students served on the Baltimore City Commission on Sustainability Youth Advisory Group, planning sustainability programs and events, and testifying in front of the Baltimore City Council.
None of that original group was incarcerated while in the program.
