Help Us Transform Lives at Robert W. Coleman Elementary

Bring Mindfulness Home

In a World Full of Noise, Help a Child Find Stillness.
Give the Gift of Calm.

At Robert W. Coleman Elementary, we replaced detention with meditation—and it changed lives.

Now, we have the chance to do it again. To return home and give a new generation the tools to heal, grow, and thrive.

Your donation isn’t just a gift—it’s a lifeline.

It creates safe spaces. It teaches resilience. It transforms futures.

You can make that difference—right now.

The Impact

Zero suspensions for eight consecutive years after introducing mindfulness.

Improved attendance and academic performance.

Reduction in behavioral incidents and emotional outbursts.

Stronger sense of community among students and staff.

Students became leaders—some even joined the Holistic Life Foundation team.

Emotional resilience tools that students carried beyond the classroom and into their lives. ‍

National media recognition (MSNBC, CNN, etc.) for turning "detention into meditation" and inspiring a movement.

Because of mindfulness, Robert W. Coleman became a model for what’s possible when we meet children with compassion instead of punishment.

Now, we have the chance to do it all again—with your help.

A Note from the Founders

After seven years away, we’re coming home.

This spring, the Holistic Life Foundation is returning to Robert W. Coleman Elementary School—the place where it all began—for a powerful new chapter. We’re bringing back our Mindful Moment Program and our after-school work with students, and we couldn’t be more excited. But to make this dream real, we need you with us.

Robert W. Coleman isn’t just a school. It’s family.

We grew up in this neighborhood. We know these streets, these stories, these struggles—and the brilliance that lives inside every child who walks through those doors. Years ago, we introduced mindfulness, yoga, and emotional resilience practices to the students at Coleman, and what happened next changed everything:

  • Zero suspensions in eight years.

  • Stronger attendance and improved test scores.

  • Graduates of the program becoming mentors, leaders, and even part of our HLF team.

That’s the kind of impact we believe in. The kind we know is possible—because we’ve lived it.

Now, we have a chance to do it again—for a whole new generation. And we’re asking for your help to make it happen.

To fully fund the return of our programs at Coleman, we’re raising $175,000. This will allow us to train and support instructors, supply materials, and create the kind of safe, healing spaces our kids deserve.

If you’ve ever believed in second chances, in the power of community, in giving kids the tools to navigate life with strength and compassion—this is the moment.

Please help us bring mindfulness home.

Your support doesn’t just fund a program—it plants seeds. It tells every child at Coleman that they matter. That they are seen, supported, and capable of greatness.

With gratitude,
Ali, Atman & Andres

P.S. We know not everyone can give—but everyone can share. Please forward this to a friend, post it on your socials, and help us spread the word. Let’s do this, together.
